IT recommendations

Basic information

  • Arnold is a tool for conducting employee surveys using a conversational robot.
  • To use Arnold you will need:
    • Administrator
      • Internet access via PC
      • A working email address
      • Browser (recommended: Chrome)
    • Users
      • Internet access (PC, tablet, mobile phone with browser)
      • Own email address or phone number (to receive SMS)

Preparing

Although Arnold works instantly in most cases, we recommend taking a few steps before sending:

  • Reporting the project to the IT department
    • Arnold will send out emails (invitations for conversations) to employees from arnold@arnold-robot.com and SMS from +420 736 352 420
    • In order to avoid the IT department evaluating these emails as SPAM, it is advisable to notify them in advance or request that arnold@arnold-robot.com be white-listed.

      Suggested query:
      ☑ Please put arnold@arnold-robot.eu (IP address 147.253.221.180) on the mail server’s whitelist.

    • It is also advisable to find out if the IT department is blocking the service that sends out Arnold’s emails.

      Suggested query:
      ☑ Is IT blocking emails from SparkPost?
      ☑ If so, can the blocking be turned off?

  • Pre-launch testing
    • Arnold uses a technology called WebSocket. In exceptional cases, this technology is blocked by the IT department. Try opening the test page and talking to Arnold for 1 minute. If the conversation “freezes”, you need to contact IT.

      Suggested query:
      ☑ We need to configure the proxy server to not block WebSocket.

  • Verification after first send
    • After the first mailing, we recommend checking with a few employees to see if they received the invitation from Arnold and had a nice conversation with Arnold.
